DR. KEITH ABLOW: TRY CURCUMIN BEFORE YOU TRY PROZAC

Dr. Keith Ablow, Founder of the Life Coaching/Counseling system Pain-2-Power is advising any individual with mild to moderate depression to try the natural supplement Curcumin (derived from the spice turmeric) before trying Prozac or other similar pharmaceutical antidepressants.  Why? Because multiple studies have found that the antidepressant effects of Curcumin are essentially the same as those of Prozac—without the side effects.

That’s a bold statement to make, but Ablow isn’t backing down.

“More than one scientific investigation has found that curcumin relieves low mood and anxiety in those with mild to moderate depression just as well as Prozac and, probably, many similar medications.  And Prozac and the others can cause sleep problems, weight issues, sexual dysfunction and even increased suicidal thinking.  There is no evidence that curcumin causes such problems.  So why wouldn’t curcumin be tried first?  There is no reason.”

Keith Ablow has helped his clients become clearer-thinking, more focused, more energized and more successful using his Pain-2-Power methodologies, but he also is a proponent of using supplements to increase energy, improve sleep, increase mood, decrease anxiety and increase focus.

“There are a lot of people out there who say supplements are useless, but that just isn’t so,” Ablow said.  The data is there to support the proper use of a number of supplements to dramatically improve people’s lives.”

Dr. Ablow is a graduate of Brown University with a degree in neurosciences (with highest honors) and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.  He works one-to-one with clients to optimize their personal and professional lives.

Dr. Ablow maintains websites at www.keithablow.com, www.pain-2-power.com and www.keithablowcreative.com .  He has worked with clients from all over the United States and around the world in person, via Zoom and other telechat solutions and over the phone.

“People are much more alike than different in the journeys they need to take,” Dr. Ablow said, “because those journeys all end in a place called the ‘self.’  Becoming the people we were meant to be from all time—using all the tools available, including counseling and coaching and, yes, supplements—is a universal goal.”
