The Ablow Center, founded by Dr. Keith Ablow, Celebrates One Year in Business

The Ablow Center was founded after Dr. Keith Ablow faced a crisis of his own and learned that the missing piece in healing the mind and soul was spiritual certainty . Ablow graduated Brown University with a degree in neurosciences, with highest honors, and went on to receive his M.D. from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.  He trained in psychiatry at Tufts/New England Medical Center and practiced for 25 years before founding The Ablow Center. Twenty-five years in the making, Ablow developed his own unique approach to coaching by combining coaching, counseling, and mentoring. The Ablow Center offers two pathways based on Ablow’s unique Pain-2-Power program: High Performance Success Coaching  and Personal Empowerment Coaching . Ablow’s system helps clients transform emotional injuries into insights that free them to overcome any challenge and become the self-actualized individuals they were always meant to be. Ablow believes “that the disappointments and pain we encounter in...

HOW DO YOU TURN YOUR PAIN INTO POWER?

Years ago, Dr. Keith Ablow wrote a series of six psychological thrillers  featuring a flawed forensic psychiatrist named Frank Clevenger. “Clevenger was in deep emotional turmoil, but that was precisely the energy he drew upon to resonate with the suffering of others and render extraordinary and life changing insights—not just as he investigated crimes, but as he explored the underlying pain of many of the characters who populated the novels,” Ablow said.     One cannot help but wonder how Ablow might relate to his character Clevenger in light of his own personal turmoil. Ablow recently faced his own painful life events- enduring continued attacks against his character and assaults against his professionalism causing him significant pain as he defended himself.   “I have noticed something about the wounds I have endured:  They have made me especially able to identify wounds in others and help transform those wounds into growing places for personal p...

How Do I Let Go and Move Forward?

“Many of my clients can envision the next chapter of their life stories, but need some help actualizing that vision,” according to Dr. Keith Ablow, one of the nation’s leading life coaches. “Sometimes it’s about resources, but very often it is about the resolve to let go of something they have, in order to get something else that speaks more to their heart.” This is not an uncommon challenge. Many of us are risk averse. And many of us tend to interpret change  as risky—taking away what is familiar and safe  to us. As the saying goes, “Better the devil you know than the devil you don’t.” Ablow believes the roots of this risk aversion seem to be hard-wired into us. As children, we need encouragement to let go of comforting items, such as a blanket or stuffed toy that we put our innocent faith into for a sense of security. We need to be coaxed to let go of our parents’ hands when we start our first day of school.  During many of life’s milestones we literally need hel...

Dr. Keith Ablow Shares Living the Truth in Love

Many Individuals looking for love think the best way to find it is summed up by the cliché:   Put your best foot forward .  Part of that message is to put on a kind of act, leading with a positive attitude and a good mood and sharing only your strengths during the early stages of the relationship. This idea suggests you're probably not going to attract a partner unless you shine brightly like a new penny. Dr. Keith Ablow does not agree, in fact he thinks there’s a real risk to genuine intimacy when dating and romance involve two people trying to seem perfect. Ablow explains “Playing dress-up emotionally deprives men and women of getting naked emotionally  and actually connecting.  That happens when they share with each other the challenges they have faced and continue to face, the obstacles each has overcome and the unrealized dreams that each continues to hold close to his or her heart.” Ablow recommends that when people begin dating, they share as much about their...

Dr. Keith Ablow Tapped to Write Ads for Congressional Candidates Across the Nation

New York Times bestselling author Dr. Keith Ablow has been tapped to write advertisements for Republican Congressional candidates and conservative-leaning Political Action Committees. Dr. Ablow is the author of 16 books, was a columnist for the Washington Post and New York Post and has appeared on thousands of national television broadcasts including The Today Show, Good Morning America, 20/20, Oprah, CBS This Morning and a host of other shows. He was, for a decade, the Fox News Network Contributor on psychiatry and psychology and a member of the Fox News Medical “A” Team.  Dr. Ablow’s newest book, Trump Your Life: 25 Life Lessons from the 45 th  President of the United States , includes a foreword by Trump confidante Roger Stone. “Ultimately,” Ablow said, “everything in the world revolves around narrative.  Telling the true and gripping story of a candidate or a political cause simply requires detailing and dramatizing the journey of the candidate and the stakes i...

DR. KEITH ABLOW: THE UNABOMBER WAS EVIL—AND A GENIUS

According to Dr. Keith Ablow , the national Fox News Network Contributor on psychology and psychiatry for a decade, it is time to revisit Ted Kaczynski’s ideas. Dr. Ablow points out that Kaczynski, known as the Unabomber, was rightly imprisoned for life in 1998 .  “During 1978 to 1992, Kaczynski sent explosives through the mail, killing three people and injuring almost two dozen more,” Ablow said.  “That campaign of terror was horrifying and indefensible.  Kaczynski’s ideas, however, which he wrote down in a manifesto called ‘Industrial Society and Its Future,’ were prophetic.” Dr. Ablow believes our society is racing toward the loss of individual autonomy and that technology and political forces are increasingly eclipsing human rights.  In that context, he says, it is worth revisiting Kaczynski’s ideas. The New York Times and the Washington Post published “Industrial Society and its Future” on September 19, 1995.  They did so as part of a deal with Kaczy...
